Hello! I'm Page McGovern (He/they)
I am a transgender, neurodivergent, artist who primarily focuses on sculptural work, specializing in ceramics. In December 2024, I graduated from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Art (B.A.) in Art as well as a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Geoenvironmental Science with a Marine Science minor. Currently I am pursuing a Master of Science (M.S.) in Geoenvironmental Science & Sustainability as part of Shippensburg University's 4+1 program!
Before attending Shippensburg University, I lived in Upstate New York for about 14 years. I started to find my love for clay in 2016 when I was first placed in accelerated art classes. So far, I have had my work displayed in eight gallery exhibitions, two of which being solo exhibitions that I personally curated. In 2022, I won an Honorable Mention for my pen and ink drawing Sketchy Boxes. Since 2023, numerous of my pieces have been selected to be displayed outside of our university president’s office which remain on display throughout the following year. Since 2023, I have worked as the SU Art and Design Department's ceramic studio manager, as well as a sculpture and printmaking studio assistant from 2022 to 2024.
